Word of the Day

Thank you Jesus for all your blessings! Praise the Lord!
We give you all the glory! You are worthy to be praised!

Thank you for joining us today! If you are new to this blog, please take the time to post a comment on what you have read today and let us know what you think. We value your opinion. For those joining us who have followed us since the beginning, this blog is designed for Pastor Ed to give us the Word of the Day and share with us his teaching on the Word.

Hi everyone! How is everybody doing? Wonderful I hope. Today let's talk about the next best thing to do. "Seek and ye shall find." Luke 11:9 Seek if you have not found. "Ye ask and receive not, because ye ask amiss." If you ask for things from life instead from God, you ask amiss, you are asking from a desire for self-realization. The more you realize yourself, the less you will seek God. Get to work and narrow your interests to this one particular. Have you ever sought God with your whole heart, or have you only given a sad cry to Him after a twinge of moral neuralgia? Seek, concentrate and you will find.
"Ho, everyone that thirsts, come to the waters." Are you thirsty, or smugly indifferent? Are you so satisfied with your experience that you want nothing more of God?Experience is a gateway, not an end. Beware of building your faith on experience, the the note will come at once. You can never give another person that which you have found, but you can make him homesick for what you have.
"Knock and it shall be opened to you." "Draw nigh to God." Knock, the door is closed, and you suffer from palpitation as you knock. "Cleanse your hands". Knock a bit louder, and you begin to find you're dirty. "Purify your heart." This is more personal still, you are desperately in earnest now, you will do anything. "Be afflicted." Have you ever been afflicted before God at the state of your inner life? There is no strand of self pity left, but a heart-breaking affliction of amazement to find that you are the kind of person that you are. "Humble yourself." It's an humbling business to knock at God's door, you have to knock with the crucified thief. But remember this, "To him that knocks, it will opened."

We like to close every Word of the Day by making sure you have the opportunity to ask Jesus in your heart.
So please pray,  Lord Jesus, I accept that you were born of a virgin, died on the cross and shed your blood for my sins to be forgiven and rose again to be Lord and King. I repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and be Lord and Savior and live in my heart.
Amen
Friends, if you just prayed this prayer, you are born again, and may I pray that you grow in your walk with Jesus and develop an intimate relationship with Him. If you just said this prayer, please send us an email, we would love to know.

Thank you for joining us and please come back everyday for a new Word of the Day.

Sincerely,
Pastor Ed
