Word of the Day

Thank you Jesus for all your blessings! Praise the Lord!
We give you all the glory! You are worthy to be praised!

Thank you for joining us today! If you are new to this blog, please take the time to post a comment on what you have read today and let us know what you think. We value your opinion. For those joining us who have followed us since the beginning, this blog is designed for Pastor Ed to give us the Word of the Day and share with us his teaching on the Word.

Hi everyone! How is everybody doing? Wonderful I pray. Let's talk about following Christ today. Peter said unto Him, "Lord, why cannot I follow You now?" John 13:37 There are times when you can't understand why you can't do what you want to do. This falls in line with patience. We must allow room for patience to have her perfect way. When God brings the blank space, don't try to fill it in, nut wait instead fervently on Him. That blank space may come in order to teach you what sanctification means, or it may come after sanctification to teach you what service means. Never run before God's guidance. If there is the smallest doubt, then don't do it.
In the beginning, you may be able to see clearly what God's will is, the severance of a friendship, the breaking off of a business relationship, something you feel distinctly before God's will comes into play. But don't ever do it on impulse of that feeling. If you do, making it much more difficult in the long run, and then it will take years to undo and repair. Wait for God's time to bring it around and He will do it without any heartbreak or disappointment. When it is a question of the providential will of God, wait for God to move.
Peter didn't wait for God; he forecast in his mind where the test would come, and the test cam from where he didn't expect it. Peter's ignorant statement, led him do deny the Lord three times before the cock crowed. The Lord knew of a deeper knowledge of Peter than Peter himself knew. He couldn't follow Jesus because not only did he not know himself, but also because he didn't know what he was capable. Natural devotion may be all very well to attract us to Jesus, to make us feel His fascination, but it will never make us disciples. Natural devotion will always deny Jesus some way or another. We must take care to wait on the Lord with patience fervently.

We like to close every Word of the Day by making sure you have the opportunity to ask Jesus in your heart.
So please pray,  Lord Jesus, I accept that you were born of a virgin, died on the cross and shed your blood for my sins to be forgiven and rose again to be Lord and King. I repent of my sins and ask that you come into my life and be Lord and Savior and live in my heart.
Amen
Friends, if you just prayed this prayer, you are born again, and may I pray that you grow in your walk with Jesus and develop an intimate relationship with Him. If you just said this prayer, please send us an email, we would love to know.

Thank you for joining us and please come back everyday for a new Word of the Day.

Sincerely,
Pastor Ed
